Ritmo fascinante

Estou ouvindo agora a música "Fascinating Rhythm", do George Gershwin - na voz do Harry Connick Jr. A música foi composta em 1924 pelo criador do clássico do jazz Porgy & Bess. O que tem a ver com o Deep Purple? Bom, daí é que, 50 anos depois da composição de Gershwin, Ritchie Blackmore tirou o riff de Burn. Fred Astaire, o espantalho de "O Mágico de Oz", também gravou. Um site italiano colocou MP3 de trechos de ambas, Burn e Fascinating Rhythm para o leitor ouvir e tirar suas conclusões. Não foi a primeira música que eles "roubaram" de Gershwin. Em 1973, Blackmore já havia copiado parte de Rhapsody in Blue para fazer o riff de Painted Horse (um outtake de Who do We Think We Are).
